The Bauer Supreme Mach Skates were built for the north-to-south power skater who wants maximum energy transfer and range of motion for a truly explosive stride. While the new 12K Carbon Curv composite boot is even lighter and more responsive than the Ultrasonic’s, the new AMP System helps players achieve a greater and more effective range of motion from the forward flex through to the apex of the skating stride.
With the Unibody Powerwrap Outsole and full carbon materials combining to make the stiffest and more explosive boot from Bauer, the new AMP (Active Motion Performance) Facing makes sure it actually results in better performance. The flex zone between the second and third eyelets prevents the Mach from feeling like an overly stiff and rigid ankle cast and instead ensures the stiffness results in real-world power on the ice. The AMP Tendon Guard boasts an injected construction for supreme durability but the full flexibility is the key to complete stride extension, unlike traditional tendon guards.
Working with the AMP System is the new Powercoil Tongue. The black pro felt and thick injected foams provide instant out-of-the-box comfort and truly elite protection, it actually increases a player’s speed too. The new integrated insert allows for forward flex with the AMP Facing, but helps to guide the player’s foot back in the neutral position for a quicker stride frequency with its snappy response.
Finally, the inside of the Mach Skate is fully loaded with a AeroFoam Pro foam package that is incredibly lightweight and thermoformable. It is covered by the dual-zone Lock-Fit Pro Liner that is one of the most comfortable and durable options in Bauer’s line-up, but it’s advanced moisture wicking helps keep the skate light from the first period to the last.
