These are for players who live on the attack, who fly into the zone outnumbered, and create time and space out of thin air. Vapor Flylite introduces the most reactive and energized components Bauer has ever put in a skate. Why? Because your game demands it.

When purchasing a new pair of hockey skates, it is important to focus on fit. If you’re unsure which skate line or model fits your foot best, use our sizing guide below or for the most accurate measurement and assessment, visit your local Pure Hockey to be scanned on a Bauer 3D scanner.
Starting with the holder, Bauer continues to push performance with the PowerFly holder, increasing player’s takeoff acceleration and side to side transitions through the various flex points. The front post of the holder is rigid, increasing energy transfer in every stride for faster acceleration. The hyperbolic stability bar increases balance for quicker transitions, and the responsive back post promotes faster side to side transitions.
The blade channel is also modified to incorporate hyperbolic geometry, improving the integration of the steel and holder, lowering the stress on the trigger during impacts. With the new hyperbolic geometry comes the new FLY-X steel, the direct replacement to the Pulse Steel and the titanium coded FLY-TI, the direct replacement to the PULSE-TI. The new steel types are compatible for both the new PowerFly holder and the Lightspeed Edge holder. It is important to note that the previous generation Lightspeed Edge runners are not compatible with the new PowerFly holder.
New to this year’s Vapor Flylite skate is the Fusion Curv Composite quarter package and Fusion Flex outsole. These materials are engineered to work in tandem to offer more energy return while accelerating, transitioning and stopping – helping you react in the blink of an eye.
The tendon guard has a lot of similarities to the Shadow skate with the minimalist, lightweight design. This differs from previous Vapor tendon guards but will allow for better mobility in the ankle for faster strides.
An improvement from the previous generation Hyperlite 2 skate is the Aerolite 3.0 tongue. Bauer improved the comfort where the tongue and ankle interact by adding Aerofoam Pro padding. This alleviates the pressure point on the ankles, while still maintaining flexibility and performance.
Another new feature in the Flylite skate is the Fusion Connect toe cap. Designed with a rounded forefoot geometry, this toe cap enhances the fit and comfort of the skate while offering more consistent loading of energy. On the inside of the skate and top of the toe cap is a liner to prevent any rubbing or discomfort.
The Fusion Flex integrated facing features 5 strategically placed flex notches to increase the forward flex of the skate. This will allow for more energy to be loaded in the stride. Internally, Bauer used LockFit Pro liner, engineered for performance to keep your foot dry and locked in place.
Built the way an elite skate should be — piece by piece. Every inch of this skate has been fine-tuned and adjusted to help you experience pro-level feel, performance, and comfort in every stride. This skate is great for elite level players or any player looking to experience top-of-the-line technology.
